Short Story Prompt #3:
The roaring thunder and the unforgiving winds drowned the queen’s cry who had gone into labour. The king paced incessantly, worried about losing his fourth child to cruel fate. For a moment all fell silent before the queen screamed for the final push.
“It’s a girl!” announced the doctor.
The king held his tiny bundle of joy for the first time and said, “Welcome home Adhira, my warrior princess…”
